Like other going green house products steam cleaners, this one also still requires the use of electricity but do away with using hazardous chemicals. Instead of using chemicals and suds, it uses hot steam to reach stains and loosens debris and dirt. Aside from carpets, it can also be used to clean car seats, upholstery and many more.

Is Cleaning Green Different From Green Cleaning

It may sound like semantics, but there is a difference between Cleaning Green and Green Cleaning. The first indicates that the janitorial services is using Green products. The second indicates that they are using a Green practice as well as Green Products. In the belief that Green cleaning is more than sliding in a line of Green products, there is the obvious need to understand that products do not mean the workforce is following Green procedures.

Green products are an important aspect of the the process, but Green cleaning is defined as a system of cleaning that promotes healthy surroundings for building occupants, and is also less detrimental to the environment. It is a concern for the impact of the cleaning process on the facility. Remember, defining the Green Janitor means (1) The Immediate Impact of what is done, and (2) the Residual Impact of what is done.

The Green Practices Initiative raises questions that some people do not want raised. The education of the workforce is a cost and a time commitment that they wish to avoid. It is easier to resupply the chemicals used and call that “Cleaning Green” than to train the workforce in “Green Cleaning” tactics. There is a difference though it may be of small concern to some. Do you want a mechanic who know how to replace parts until the car is fixed, or do you want a technician who diagnoses the problem before tearing things apart? A little training can make a big difference. We are committing more an more duties for the Green mandates coming down. Why aren’t we training them to do the job as professionals (Technicians) instead of task-oriented broom pushers.

A HEPA vacuum is a good choice for the dust recycled in the air by most vacuums, but it is an extra expense and they suffer from a loss in suction when they are not maintained. Adding a sweeping compound to minimize dust is not just a good idea. It too adds to the overall building health. Are the workers aware of health hazards of biohazard waste, mold that appears in the building, or use of pesticides? Are feather dusters better than microfiber clothes? Is the humidity a factor in the health of a building? There are many unresolved issues that the workforce needs to understand if they are going to fulfill the new mandates that are coming down in the next year?

Green Practices means that we need to do more than trade in the old spray bottle for a new one containing a mystery liquid that is supposed to be Green. It means that the person doing the work understand why something is Green or why it isn’t. Notice that the latest MRSA scare drove the schools and offices affected into a real panic in sanitizing. They broke ranks from Green products to bring in the “Good Stuff” that was not Green at all. Yet, had they been advised about the best disinfectant products and procedures, they would have been able to better sanitize their facilities and keep to the Green Program they have promised to follow.

Going Green House Products – How to Buy the Best Green Cleaning Products

Going green house products are not only good for the environment, but these are also good for the health of our loved ones and pets as well. Unfortunately, you can’t immediately trust all green cleaning solutions labeled as: eco-friendly, environmentally safe, or non-toxic. But you can still do something to distinguish what going green house products to buy – research.

It’s really difficult to pick the right going green house products, especially if they all claim to be environmentally safe. Well, checking the product label is always a good precautionary measure, but it’s not a hundred percent guarantee that the product is all that it claims to be. Manufacturers are not really required to declare all the ingredients they’ve used in making their products. Also, it’s specifically hard to gauge the quality of the product since there are no established regulations or standards for eco-friendly products.

Since not all “green” cleaning products are really green and manufacturers are really not that transparent with the ingredients they’re using, is it safe to say that going green is just not right for you? Well, the answer is no. Despite the lack of clear rules as to what really makes a product environmentally safe, there are still some important buying guidelines consumers can follow when buying commercially-made green household products.

Learn to read labels. It’s not a foolproof method, but it does give out important hints at times. Go through the list of ingredients of the product (if you’re fortunate enough that manufacturers specified these) and spot the toxic chemicals that you recognize. If it contains ammonia, hydrochloric or sulfuric acids, lye, and chlorine bleach, these should be enough hints that the cleaning solution is not really safe for the environment and humans. You should also take note that chlorine bleach is not safe to use with other chemicals, like ammonia, because this will form poisonous gases.

Buy products only from trusted green product manufacturers. There are currently several companies that are making noise in the green cleaning product industry; some of these are ECOS, Shaklee Corporations, and Seventh Generation. Although not strictly mandatory, Seventh Generation products contain the complete list of chemical ingredients – a real big help on your part. You can actually learn more about these companies and their products through their websites.

Find out how and where you could get hold of the best green house products. You have two choices to accomplish this task: go online or visit your nearest retailers. Purchasing directly from the manufacturer’s official online shop gives you more edge because you’re assured that you’re getting the real stuff. It’s also a good thing to know that majority of supermarkets and department centers are already warming to these products – they actually have different green cleaning products on stock.

If you’re really not into commercial products, try researching for homemade going green house products and make your own. It’s quite easy and quick to make.

Green marketing refers to the process of selling products and/or services based on their environmental benefits. Such a product or service may be environmentally friendly in itself or produced and/or packaged in an environmentally friendly way.

The obvious assumption of green marketing is that potential consumers will view a product or service’s “greenness” as a benefit and base their buying decision accordingly. The not-so-obvious assumption of green marketing is that consumers will be willing to pay more for green products than they would for a less-green comparable alternative product – an assumption that, in my opinion, has not been proven conclusively. Green is now mainstream—and recession-proof. According to Reuters, a full 82 percent of U.S. consumers are buying at least some green products even during the current economic crisis.

Different between Sustainable Marketing and Green Marketing: It isn’t just about selling green products to the LOHAS market segment, which encompasses 63 million people. Or the $540 billion Cultural Creatives market. Today’s customers are more demanding. His competitor from S.C. Johnson pointed to his company’s website where consumers can find a list of ingredients for many of their brands.

Simple product labels and ingredient lists, however, are no longer enough. While green marketing has moved well beyond brands that appeal to the “deep green” niche, at the same time the relationship-building tools of social media allow marketers to tap into a gold mine of passionately green customers for market research tidbits. Seventh Generation, the granddaddy of green cleaning products, has an “Inspired Protoganist” blog and a “Seventh Generation Nation” social network on its website with thousands of members providing feedback and suggesting new product ideas. Method has its own Facebook page complete with a wall of comments from many of their over 6,000 “fans” and a Twitter following of over 2,000 users. Not bad for soap.

Where once green cleaners gathered dust on health food store shelves, contemporary sustainable branders are finding an exciting new market opportunity in the mainstream. In the cleaning category, it’s hard to get more mainstream than Clorox. Clorox’s Greenworks line is being fueled as much by its well-known brand name as it is by the same natural ingredients that characterize so many other green brands on the shelves. The Clorox rep in Monterey announced sales and market share increases even in the face of a recession, declaring that GreenWorks now represents 45% of the natural cleaning category, muscling out the venerable, “deep green” Seventh Generation, which was introduced, well, twenty years ago.

In our society of convenience many often forget that a natural resource cannot be replenished. When the resource is used up, it is gone. Only through the art of advancing sciences and improved technologies can we find alternative resource to the ones that are running low. Most of us don’t really consciously think about what it takes to make the bottle of Coke, the can of Pepsi or even just that glass of water that we are drinking. We don’t often think of what materials it takes to make the chair we are sitting in; most of us are just enjoying a relaxing and comfortable moment. Would the soft aroma of coffee swirling in the air add to your pleasure of enjoyment while experiencing that comforting moment?

Through the Eco-friendly advanced and “Green” cutting edge technological breakthroughs of the 21st century people may soon be stopping for a moment to remember that the comfortable chair they are sitting in is made of post composite coffee grinds that were skillfully engineered to produce that very comfortable “Green” chair. Axion Polymers is a Eco-friendly recycling company that is not only creating new products from recycled ones, but also through advancing Eco-friendly technologies within the industries; that without aggressive “Green” initiatives may have gone undiscovered.

Axion Polymers won the Chemicals Northwest Environmental Technology for the Chemical Industry Award; recognizing their Eco-friendly and “Green” advancements and initiatives with providing quality products using sustainable clean technologies in their recycling methods and their continued commitments to reducing their carbon impact. Axion Polymers is the UK’s largest reprocessing and/or recycling plant; while also being the most advanced Eco-friendly reprocessing plant in Europe.

Axion Polymers has successfully taken the left over materials that they have reprocessed using 100% post consumer plastic waste and developed their own award winning “Green” product line of polymer compounds known as Axpoly®, along with Eco-0friendly polymer sheets known as Axfoil®. The materials that they use in their products can also be incorporated into many other product lines either in whole or in part. Axion has recently expanded their Axfoil color line offering an extensive color range; which increases project options for consumers and commercial uses.  Axfoil is also available in rolls that vary in size and width offering the versatility for an unlimited range of Eco-friendly implementations.

Motorized Bicycle-New Generation Go Green Product

Motorized bicycles are one of the best ways to inhale some fresh air, go green and reduce air pollution.

A motorized bicycle consists of a drive system that can be incorporated easily and without much difficulty onto a bicycle in a manner that enable the bicycle to pedal in a relaxed mode without increasing force required to pedal the bicycle. The motorized bicycle consists of a wheel on which a drive gear is mounted, which in turn is linked to the drive gear, and a drive device attached to the driven gear. The drive device comprise a motor designed to rotate an output shaft, a rotatable drive shaft, a first drive device connecting the output shaft to the drive shaft, and a second drive tool detachably linking the drive shaft to the driven gear. The second drive device is activated by rotation of the drive shaft by the first drive tool. The drive system is mounted on a support that is adjustable and mounted on the bicycle’s structure.

Early designs typically consist of chain or gear technologies which were driven by a motor and which were in permanent contact with the bicycle’s drive sprocket along with the pedals. While these motorized driving technologies did supply a secondary power to a bicycle, they have their own disadvantages as well. Like, the motor and its drive system were generally in direct contact with the pedals all the times, which need the rider to drive the motor during pedaling. The use of the motor importantly enhanced the power required to pedal the bicycle. In addition, the drive technologies of these early motorized bicycles were tough to incorporate into existing bicycles as they need complicated driving facilities which required wide-spanning modifications of the bicycles onto which they were fixed. As a result, these technologies could not be used on multi-speed bicycles.

If you are planning to purchase a motorized bicycle, there are many alternatives and restrictions to take care of. Find out the restrictions prevalent in your state. The laws on riding motorized bicycles vary significantly from one state to another. You can check out for an electric or gas motor. Frankly speaking, quality gas motors are more expensive and exclusive and needs to be repaired frequently but will take you faster and farther whereas electric motors are cheaper and require less maintenance but reach out shorter distances at lower speeds. You should also decide on whether to buy a kit to incorporate a motor to an existing bicycle or just buy the fully built motorized bicycles.

Now where can you find such product! If you live in or close to a metropolitan city, you may find a dealer in any of the showrooms. Check with local bicycle and scooter dealers to find out if they possess what you are looking for. If you are unable to find anything in your close vicinity, do not give up. The Internet is flooded with manufacturers of both kits and pre-built motorized bicycles. If you are not a typical nerd, seek a second opinion on your selected bicycle or kit before buying.

With the aim to minimize the amount of paper waste produce by office, Eco India had created the Handmade Paper. With this project , offices particularly in India will now be able to minimize the need of paper, the possibility of cutting more trees and help save the forest. With the fact that making a single tone of paper from virgin pulp does require 17 large trees, that large number simply means that deforestation is not impossible that will eventually destroy natural habitats.
With the presence of the Handmade Paper, these unwanted acts towards our forests will be minimized dramatically. Other global benefits that the handmade paper provides include the reduced use of energy by at least fifty percent, up to ninety percent of wastewater, and air pollution reduction by seventy percent. These benefits may not be noticed immediately but in the end people will know how these green deed affect the environment and the world.
You might wonder why this handmade paper is eco-friendly. Firstly, since it is handmade, it does use less energy in manufacturing. Next is that, these papers use non-wood raw materials, which obviously does not require the manufacturers to cut some trees, and thus, saves many trees we have in our beautiful forests. Another feature why this handmade paper is eco-friendly is the manufacturer’s extensive use of solar energy, which is obviously a pollution-free method.
Aside from the green features these handmade paper has, it also boast off its quality. Compared to a mill made paper, these papers are more tensile and is not easy to tear because of its double-fold strength.
Finally, apart from those interesting green features that the Handmade Paper has, it also has a fine and elegant quality that will surely satisfies everyone’s need when it comes to paper. It is whether the users are corporate groups or students, the handmade paper will surely provide the right quality that the users may want and need. Even manufacturers can use this wonderful paper is also ideal in creating numerous paper products.
